I'm here!!!!

Well, I finally arrived in my new home with my new Mummy on Sunday May 1st and she seems nice enough. She wont stop looking at me and smiling! Weirdo!!
I've been fed, watered and I've had a black flashing box thing waved at me. It turns out that its a camera and I gather there'll be a lot of this stuff going on. She's some kind of photography student and always seems to have a black box thing in her hand!!
I think I'm going to be ok here. She keeps telling me how lovely I am. Silly woman, as if I didnt know, but its kind of nice to hear it, but perhaps not every time she walks past me! Ha Ha!!
I'm going to treat her to one of my famous 'chatting sessions later. That will impress her!! Lets see the size of the smile on her face then!!
Right, back to eating now I think. These pellets are yummy so why does she keep shoving green and red stuff in my other food bowl? I'm going to chuck it out, I will....do you dare me??

Slight change of plan......

Morning folks!! Slight change of plan today. My rescue Mummy Paula from the African Grey parrot rescue centre (www.africangreyparrotcentre.co.uk) is poorly and so cant take me over to my new Mummy. I'm a bit sad, but these things cant be helped can they. Somebody's health is more important than my new home and I shall have to be patient a little longer.
Paula and Rick over at the AGPC do such an amazing job rescuing and helping birds who's owners can no longer care for them and then partnering them with people who do have the time and bundles of love to care for them for the rest of their days. I am one of those very lucky birds! Yippeeee!! The rescue process is run purely on a donation basis and raising funds to save wonderful birds (like me!!) is an expensive business. (You havent seen how much stuff I need and how much I can eat have you??) Some of us have emotional problems and need extra love and care and some of us are poorly and run up expensive vet bills.
While you're waiting for news on my imminant 'relocation' perhaps you'd like to peruse some of the photos that Paula took of me.
Dont forget to keep popping back to see new photos when I move in with 'Mummy Jennifer'.
See you folks, theres a rope swing over there with my name on it!! 'Swooooooosh'!!
Love Bailey Babe. XX
